OMNIGUARD® 460

Heavy-Duty Calcium Sulfonate Shield for Low-Speed, High-Pressure Equipment.

Close

When your heavy-duty industrial bearings are moving slow but carrying massive tonnage, standard grease gets squeezed out. Mammoth utilizes the 460 because its higher viscosity base oil creates a "cushion" that won't fail under pressure.

Phillips 66® Omniguard 460 is a high-performance, heavy-duty, extreme-pressure calcium sulfonate grease specially developed for use in industrial equipment operating under heavy loads in wet or corrosive environments. It is characterized by its high-viscosity base oil (ISO 460) which provides a superior lubricating film for slow-speed, heavily loaded bearings. It offers excellent resistance to water washout, superior rust and corrosion protection, and high dropping point for performance in extreme heat.

High Thermal Stability

Heavy Industrial EP

  • Heavy-Duty Cushioning: ISO 460 base oil provides a massive lubricating film for larger, slower-moving industrial bearings.

  • The "Stay-Put" Specialist: High-viscosity formula resists being squeezed out of high-pressure pivot points and bushings.

  • Superior Thermal Stability: Maintains structural integrity in high-heat industrial housings exceeding 288°C (550°F).

  • Extreme Load Armor: Engineered for high-pressure industrial applications where standard multi-purpose greases fail.

  • Natural Corrosion Block: Inherent Calcium Sulfonate chemistry stops rust in its tracks without the need for heavy additives.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

APPLICATIONS

  • Heavy-duty industrial bearings in steel and paper mills.

  • Wet-end paper machine bearings and hot calender stacks.

  • Rolling mills, continuous casters, and hot roll tables.

  • Heavy mobile equipment operated in corrosive, high-moisture coastal environments.

MAMMOTH TECHNICAL TIP:

Heavy oil needs slow speeds. This is the go-to for slow-moving, high-load industrial bearings. If your RPMs are high, stick with the 220 to avoid internal heat buildup.
